16 Months

And trouble.

Day after day we are amazed by this little girl.  I love when she does things that are no big deal to other people and we think it is the greatest thing we have ever seen.  The joys of being parents.

We are having fun with how Hadley copies everything we do.  Of course, some bad, but still hilarious.  She is still into everything.  The infamous trail of Hadley.
She just had 4 molars come in (fun huh?) so she is up to about 12 teeth now and still working on more.  She stays mostly happy but when something doesn't go her way she is much more dramatic.
I love how self sufficient she is becoming.  She can sign eat, drink, all done, more, night-night, hi, bye, fish, banana, brush teeth, and learning more every day.  She insists on doing whatever she can by herself.  Which sometimes means things take a lot longer.
She loves being outside even if it is freezing.  I can't wait to start taking her to the park again.  This year will be a whole different ball game!  We have lots of wipe outs but she is pretty tough and bounces right back up.
Some of her favorite things to do right now are get her own snacks out of her drawer, get mommy's lotion and put it on everyone and everything, run, jump, read books, play with her million balls, and all of these things over and over again.  She still loves going to the daycare at the gym and any other place where she can play with kids.
She can now climb up on the furniture and loves looking out the window.  Always waiting for daddy to come home.  She is getting much more cuddly which I am soaking up.  She will give you a hug and kiss (when the mood strikes her) and when she needs attention from me she will run over and hug my legs while burrowing her head.
Of course she also likes to do a lot of things that she shouldn't.  Like get in my makeup, eat my chapstick, and play with the toilet paper.  She had a brief affair with flushing the toilet but that has passed for now.  When she goes to do something she knows she shouldn't she just looks at me, shakes her head no, and keeps doing it.  It's so hard not to laugh.
Hadley's attention span is about 2 seconds except with playdoh.  She can sit for an hour and play and it makes me happy!
She always has lots to say, most of which we don't understand of course.  Some new words lately are fish, bat, so close to grandma and grandpa, and she loves exclaiming whoa!, wow!, and uh-oh.
We have seen the start of some temper tantrums.  Usually it isn't too bad but if I do something she doesn't want she does this short scream "mom!"
She is getting a little pickier about what she eats.  Sometimes it just takes her a few minutes of playing with something new before she will take a bite.
Her favorite right now is bananas.  She usually eats one a day.  I taught her how to hold on to one today and she thought she was pretty cool.
We love this little one more than anything and it is impossible to document every cute thing she does.
Happy 16 months!!
