Aquarium AND the Zoo!

You probably all know we head down to Bountiful/Salt Lake often, but usually it is because Jonas is racing.  Even if he isn't racing he will go to the track one or both weekend days.  So me and Hadley had plenty of time to go do these things, but Jonas insisted we wait to go to the zoo until he was there.

So I set a weekend where we could go down and just hang out, without Jonas being gone half of the time.  Of course, I ended up having to work but I did it all while Hadley was sleeping.

Saturday was the aquarium in Sandy.  It was cool....but definitely not what I was hoping for nor was it worth the money.  At least Hadley is still free for most things.  She did have a blast running around looking at all of the fishies.  She was too scared of this giant frog to get any closer.
Waving to the otter.  The poor thing was in a tiny tank and was just doing circles as fast as he could.  Anxiety much?
Just checking everything out.
Watching the penguins swim around.  We were through the entire thing, including buying a souvenier, in 45 minutes.  Oh well, now we know!
The next day we went to the zoo.  The tickets were only a few dollars more than the aquarium and we spent MANY more hours there.  Definitely worth it.  We got there right when it opened and stayed until Hadley could barely keep her eyes open.
Of course this darn ball has to be right at the entrance.  She could have stayed there all day.
Chasing a duck and going "quack quack quack."
Obviously not digging the egg.
But the elephant is ok.
Jonas was getting mad that I wanted a picture here because of how dirty it is.  Oh well, classic photo!
Uncle BJ showing her some animals.
We all LOVED the tigers.  Even though they are a bit frightening.
The clan.  Hadley kept saying "meow meow" to the tigers.
Posing.
We tried so hard to get Hadley to put her arms out but she just wanted to do her circles with her ballerina arms.
It was stinking hot and we were all seeking out shade when we could.  Hadley didn't want to sit in the stroller for the most part and would just sit down when she needed a break.
Finally it was time for the train!  She wasn't so sure at first but it didn't take long!
"Choo Choo!!"
The second it stopped she wanted "more, more more."  So off we went.
After a quick lunch (I love that you can take your own food in) we headed to the carousel.
And it was the same with this.  A little scary at first, and then as soon as it stopped she wanted "more, more, more."  (Seeing a pattern here with how she talks?)
Of course we couldn't leave without getting some souvenirs.  Grandma Harmon bought her pinky and lucy, and BJ got her blue.  She also got her cup from my mom.
An awesome weekend!
