Since Jonas got back from Holland we have been trying to squeeze in lots of fun things with Hadley, both to enjoy the last days with just the 3 of us and because once the baby comes we won't be out and about as much.
Jonas's work had an awesome summer party where they rented a couple of houses on a private lake. As soon as we got there Hadley was in heaven and pretty much ignored us except for the few times I made her go out on the water with us. She wasn't too sure about the boat but as long as I was holding onto her she loved it. The tube ride...not so much. Maybe next year.
With toys, water, sand, and friends, she was a happy camper. I really have no idea where all that energy comes from.
It was an awesome weekend that was much needed after Jonas was gone for so long. The millions of mosquito bites and heartburn from the "healthy" food, not the best parts.
This past weekend we labeled as "Hadley Day," although it ended up being a weekend. We wanted to have one last hurrah just for Hadley as the only kid. It started off with her first soccer game (post coming on that) and then we headed to Park City. When we asked what she wanted for lunch it was an easy Noodles. She is obsessed with their mac & cheese and asks for it constantly.
As we were driving up to our hotel she told us she was just exhausted from soccer, so we got a 10-minute break at the hotel until we were off again.
To the swimming pool of course. When we were planning the trip we knew we just needed a hotel with a swimming pool...two of her favorites. When we walked in the room she got so excited and said, "There are 2 beds!!"
She just loves the water, and I guess swimming lessons helped slightly because she is getting a bit braver.
She likes having her daddy cruise her around the water.

We found out some of our friends were right behind the hotel at the bike park, and Hadley decided she wanted them to join us for dinner, the alpine slide, and ice cream.
I had to be the mean mom and force Hadley to go on the slide. I told her that Jonas would take her on the kid slide (not such a thing) and go slow. It worked, and as soon as they took off she told him over and over to go faster.
What's Hadley Day without ice cream?
The next day we hit the park and the outlet malls where we all hit the wall and were ready to go home.
Hadley loved her weekend and said her favorite part was the slide. It is crazy to think we are just days away from being a family of 4!
