We had ourselves a little pre-baby vacation. Originally we were going to Reno but knew at this stage it would be mighty uncomfortable for me. So we headed up to Henry Lake (Island Park) on a whim.
We had the cream of the crop of rooms...I mean we even had our own tv. Ha. It had a bed and a bathroom though so can't complain.
Neither one of us had been up there before so we were a little unprepared for the lack of things to do. At least in my condition. But we made the best of it and had a nice relaxing weekend.
We went up to Big Springs and spent a few hours hiking around and enjoying the scenery.
Later that night we hit up the local playhouse to see "Robin Hood - Prince of Rotting Ham." It was actually really funny and plus we had front row seats so you can't beat that.
On Sunday when we were headed home we decided to take the much more scenic route and head through yellowstone. It was a long day but so much prettier. Of course they charge you $25 to drive through...is that not insane? We made the best of it to get our moneys worth.
We stalked some wildlife.
And checked out all the geysers.
Old Faithful of course.
All in all, the perfect weekend getaway.

fun! that is so important that you got to have a relaxing vacation as you approach these last few months! she will be here before you know it.
Glad you 2 got to get away! I think you need to do that more often in a few months so GRANDMA can babysit!!! Should I start planning now? mom
