San Diego!!

We had been looking forward to this trip for SOOO long.  So of course Hadley got really sick the night before.  She was up in the middle of the night before we left and then woke up early the morning of.  So we got started off on the wrong foot....but we made the best of it.  DANG CROUP!!

Hadley's very first plane ride!!  I made a comment about how weird it was having all of us buckled in and her sitting on our lap.  Shortly after the pilot announced that they had to declare our flight an emergency because one of the hydraulics systems failed.  AWESOME!  They almost took us right back to SLC.
But we made it.  If you look closely you can see a whole plethora of emergency vehicles.  Larry thought it was cool that we can now say we had an emergency flight land in one of the most dangerous airports.
We were all happy to get off!  Hadley was being so helpful by pushing the stroller instead of riding in it.  Can't blame her after being cooped up.
We had some time before we could get to the hotel so we headed to Sea Port Village to eat and check things out.  Hadley LOVED the pigeons.  She couldn't get enough of them.
After lunch me and Hadley decided to go for a carousel ride.  (I'm the only one that wouldn't puke ha.)  She loved it and would wave at all of the parents every time we went around.
Of course we had to get some photos.
Jonas really wanted to be with Hadley the first time she went to the beach so that is what we did next.  Hadley HATED it!  Of course she was sick and so tired but she did not like the sand.
Later that night Jonas had team dinner so the rest of us hit up Chili's and went to bed early...hoping Hadley would feel better the next day.  It was a bit of a rough night but Hadley slept with me and that helped.
The next morning we got ready to go to Sea World!!!  We knew we wouldn't be able to get a lot in before it was nap time but we did the best we could and Hadley had so much fun.
The first order of business was Hadley's first ride.  She was scared at first but then loved it.  I think grandma almost got sick...
They had a little kiddie area and obviously she went crazy.  Running everywhere.
Until it was time for a snooze.
My mom was dying to see the Shamu show and Hadley was very curious about these big fishies we kept telling her about.
It was a hit!!
After lunch (Hadley ate a few french fries while chasing birds around) we checked some other things out, bought some souvenirs, and went to see the dog show.  I love that show.
Not too long after this started happening....so we knew it was time to go.
Later that night Hadley was not feeling good so we just visited Jonas at the track and did dinner.

Saturday was Jonas's big race so that is where we spent most of the day.  We got Hadley a smoothie to help her throat and she loved it.
We would go give daddy knucks after every race.
We had stopped at Target Friday to get me a sweatshirt (it wasn't very warm...) and found this awesome workout outfit.  Not sure where she will wear it but it was too cute to resist!
Saturday night Jonas was able to come to dinner with us.  This pig statue was out front and Hadley played with it for a long time.  Giving it kisses and feeding it wood chips.
Sunday morning Hadley woke up pretty unhappy.  So after trying everything I decided to let her play with water.  The joy of staying in a hotel.  It cheered her up and kept her entertained for quite a while.
While Jonas was racing we headed to Imperial Beach.  When we first got there it was pretty chilly and windy.
Hadley loved chasing the birds...shocking...and checking out the ocean.
But she was so tired and fell asleep like this since she refused to walk on the beach with us.
We then headed to Coronado Island.  I LOVE It there!  Hadley took a short snooze in the car and then we ate and bummed around a bit.
So all in all not the trip we had expected but still a lot of fun.  And even though we had some rough turbulence coming home the flight wasn't declared an emergency...so that was good.  And Jonas had an awesome weekend of racing.  Me and Hadley take full credit.
