Amazing

I mentioned in my last post how awesome Jonas did this year with his racing, but I thought he deserved his very own post.

Jonas was honored to be sponsored on the GT Factory team this year. He was so excited, and he really kicked up his training to do it right. The racing season pretty much lasts all year except for a few weeks during the summer. Jonas worked his butt off all year on the track, at the park by our house, and at the gym to stay in tip-top BMX shape.

He had numerous wins and victories over the year, and everything culminated over Thanksgiving in Tulsa. Jonas races 2 bikes (cruiser and class aka big bike and small bike). This was the final race of the year, and I believe the biggest grands race ever.

During this race you can win the race itself, but they also tally all of your races for the year to award NAG plates (national age group). In Jonas's cruiser class, he won the race to be the grands champion and also got 1st in his age group for the entire year. On his little bike, he got 3rd in the grands race and ended up 2nd overall for the year.
Getting a NAG #1 has long been a goal for Jonas, and needless to say he was outrageously (and rightly so) excited to win. We are so proud of how hard he worked and to finally see it pay off. Of course I can't take all of the credit...but maybe most of it.

Hadley was so happy to see her daddy. Of course everyone at the airport was just grinning watching Hadley run across the baggage claim to give her daddy a hug--while squealing.
Not too shabby for an old man!!

Congrats to Jonas! What a fabulous accomplishment! The Moll/Sleater families are sure proud of him!

We've known Jonas for quite a while now, and I can't tell you how happy it makes my heart to see how he loves his family and how he takes care of his "girls". To see what a great husband and father he has grown up to be is just awesome. I hope Tyson becomes the same type of man that Jonas is when he has his own family!

Hugs to the Harmon family!
