Jonas's big race for the year is over Thanksgiving, so we started a tradition last year to take off for the weekend with my parents. We started the day at my parents house to do breakfast with my sister and her husband before we took off. My mom made a fancy breakfast, but Hadley wanted chocolate Frosted Flakes. Who could blame her?
We have started renting condos/houses instead of hotel rooms because they are so much nicer for many reasons including cooking our own food and not having to tiptoe around Hadley's bedtime and naps. Our house in Park City was no exception. It was 2 blocks from Main Street and super nice.
We decided to just go out for Thanksgiving dinner. Hadley wanted noodles so that is what we had. I'm pretty sure she ate most of our dinner.
The weekend was spent watching tv show marathons, getting a big chunk of Christmas shopping done, and playing. Hadley goes nuts whenever she has someone's undivided attention.
Before we headed to Main Street to buy "toys."
The house had 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The bathtubs were massive. You could barely see Hadley inside. I turned the jets on and scared the crap out of her. Oops.
Snuggling and watching Elmo.
Just relaxing.
Hadley got spoiled with a few pancakes and pumpkin pie with whipped cream. When our waitress brought this pancake out Hadley literally screamed with delight.
Scratching her back on the wall...thanks Sesame Street for this one.
Just being cute...and perhaps stalling to try to see this guy...
The backside of Chase Crawford. He walked into the restaurant when we were eating breakfast. We tried to get Hadley to go ask for a picture and Larry ruined our plan. He walked right by us on Main Street, but you could tell he didn't want to be bothered. The kicker? The stairs he is headed for are the same ones to our house. He was so close!
That may have been the highlight of the trip for me and my mom...I won't lie. It was an awesome weekend away and even though we missed Jonas he killed it at his race. First in the nation in one class and second in the other. Awesome!
