Yesterday, we ran yet another 1/2 marathon.  This time we did the Little Grand Canyon Marathon.  This race is a bit different then others, and I love it.  I did it with my mom last year so of course I drug Jonas down to it this year.We met up with mom and Larry after work on Friday and cruised down to Price.  

We told the hotel there was only 2 of us, and of course the entrance was right by the front desk so we had to sneak the boys in.  We got to Price late so as soon as we got there we were off to bed!

Up again at 4:30, we got up and mom and Larry drove us to Huntington (1/2 hour from Price) where we got checked in and on the yellow school bus.  The bus drives you about 15 miles into the middle of no where, drops you off, then you run 13 more miles farther into the middle of no where.  The course is awesome though.  It is mostly flat/little down hill and on dirt the whole time.  You run through a canyon and at the finish line they bus you back to Huntington.

Jonas had a rough go for the first 3-4 miles, but once he got his groove on we were set.  We finished in 1:55 and are feeling good today!  Only one more long training run and the marathon and we are done for the season!

The only bad part of this race was the waiting....waiting on the bus to drive to the start, waiting at the starting line for everyone to use the port-a-potties(go before the bus ride people), and waiting for the bus ride back.  Not to mention the hour bus ride back makes your legs a little stiff!

I will never get a good picture of Jonas running.  Go figure.  :)

Thanks mom and Larry for coming and driving us everywhere!
